  13. This installer requires the ORIGINAL disks from Overdrive (there are 2)
  14.  
  15. It will NOT work for cracked versions of Overdrive.
  16.  
  17. The HD-Patched game will need about 3Mb of memory.
  18.  
  19. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  20. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  22. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  23. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  24. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.
  25. However, I think some MMU softkicked amigas will not be able to run the patch
  26. properly. I can't do the impossible, sorry...

  35. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  36. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  37. it does not easily multitask. No checks are done to see if you swapped the disks
  38. or not.
  39.  
  40. FEATURES:

  42. - Full HD Install of the game
  43. - Convenient install script provided (adapted from Bert Jahn's ones)
  44. - Save/Load records on hard drive or floppy
  45. - Full use of fast memory if available.
  46. - F10 key allows you to quit the game at any time (4MB of fast required).
  47. - Fixed an annoying white->black fade when accessing a disk (loss of time, aggressive).

  49. IMPORTANT:
  50.  
  51. To save scores to floppy, just set the NOOSSWAP tooltype/argument.
  52. If you save to hard drive, be careful not to use a copyback cache on your HD partition,
  53. else you could corrupt the partition (but this would only happen if you reset
  54. without quitting the game properly).

  57. If you find some bugs, or the game crashes, please e-mail me (specify your
  58. configuration).
  59. I'm also looking for people who could send me original disks for me to patch them
  60. for 680x0 or write HD-Installers (NO WAY FOR CRACKED VERSIONS).

  70. This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
  71. if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

  73. However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
  74. of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
  75. It's the only exception for the distribution.
